Today is this sweet girl's last day!! - She was pulled off the euth list and given 24 hours...but she is getting put down for no good reason other than lack of space. Can you find it in your heart to save her by adpoting/fostering/sponsoring today?

Sophie is a sweet beautiful 1.5 yr old, 50 lb female rednose amstaff/pit/hound mix who was brought in as a stray. She is quite the "looker" with her beautiful red coat and her sweet hound ears. She is still an energetic puppy and will need exercise & discipline and a firm human leader. She scored very well on her behavior test and was about to be adopted but as she was leaving the shelter with her new owners, she proceeded to "bark" at some of the dogs coming in and her new owners got nervous and brought her back... What? Dogs can't bark at other dogs? How do you expect them to communicate?? Look at how sad Sophie is to be back at the shelter...

Anyways... we think that Sophie would be best in a non-city environment in a house with a yard where she can bark to her hearts content and we think she would be fine with another "male" dog who she can run and play with. We also think she would be good with older children 10 yrs+. Unfortunately we don't know how she is with cats... but we do know that this girl deserves a second chance at a good home that will give her the time and training to be the best loyal companion she can be - won't you be that person/family to do so?

If you would like to save Sophie by committing to adopting/fostering her today... pls e-mail back to the craigslist e-mail (http://newyork.craigslist.org/mnh/pet/850485213.html) or call #917-543-6193 immediately and leave your full contact info - PLS HURRY AS TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE!!

* Pls note this dog is located in the Metropolitan NYC AREA and transport can be arranged provided certain criteria is met* Also, there will be a nominal adoption donation fee requested to cover shots, spay & microchip*
