This beautiful girl's last day was the other day and she was pulled by a rescue group but at the last minute they pulled out!! Leaving her to become dust...Can you help? Pls SAVE HER BY COMMITTING to Adopting, Fostering or Sponsoring her TODAY!
Mandy, a gorgeous blue and white bluenose pit mix, was found as a stray. She hopped a ride to the Shelter in the backseat of a police car. We figure she's only around 2 years old. She loves people and seems fine around other dogs but she is energetic so she will need lots of exercise to burn her energy. She loves when you throw toys. She retrieves them, but then doesn't want to let go.
Mandy needs to learn how to let go so she will need to be taught manners and will need a strong human leader to discipline her from the get go. From her figure, it's obvious that Mandy recently has been a mother. She is quite petite and only weighs 40 pounds. Unfortunately we don't know how she is with cats or young children so we recommend that she go to a home with no cats and older children 10 yrs+.
If you can SAVE MANDY by committing to ADOPTING, FOSTERING or SPONSORING her, pls e-mail back to this post or call #917-543-6193 ASAP & leave your callback #s!!...
Pls HURRY as TONIGHT COULD BE her LAST NIGHT... Only Serious Inquires Please *Please note this dog is located in the Metropolitan NYC Area - Transport can be arranged provided certain criteria is met

SHEBA's TIME IS UP! - Pls help her by Adopting/Fostering or Sponsoring!
Sheba> is a sweet petite white Am Bulldog/Amstaff Mix gal who seems to have lived a rough life...She was dumped at the City Shelter in Brooklyn, NY shelter as a stray and is estimated at 4 yrs old and is approx 45 lbs. She's very sweet and mellow but has a rough coat and calloused elbows.. someone wasn't feeding her very well and she may have been left in a cement lot for a period of time.. still she passed her behavior exam and although she is a bit wary of other dogs at first... once she warms up she is an absolute sweetheart... she's good with all people. Unfortunately we don't know how she is with cats and kids... but we imagine she would be fine with older kids 10 yrs+
LOOK AT THAT ADORABLE GROUCHO MARX EYEBROW that gives her the all inquisitive look!!! She just wants a couch to lay on and a person or family to give her the loving home she deserves!! She is currently being boarded at a facility in PA and her sponsor cannot afford to board her any longer so she must go to a home/foster ASAP or find another sponsor - PLS HELP !!

Bear - URGENT!

Age: 4 years
Breed: Rottweiler
Weight: 65 lbs.
Temperment: Dogs - Yes! Kids/Cats - No
Neutered: Yes!
Available for Fostering: Yes!

VERY URGENT!! PLS Help to SAVE BEAR by committing to ADOPTING/FOSTERING or SPONSORING now!! We must find him a place to go or he goes back on Euth List!
Bear is a gorgeous 4 yr M Rottie that was brought into the shelter as a stray. He's quite sweet, calm and low key. He's not a big boy weighing only about 65 lbs so he is very compact for a rottie. He, like most rotties "guards" his food so he must go to a experienced Rottie lover only and unfortunately no small kids or cats.
If you can help to save Bear by Adopting/Foster/Sponsoring... we will ask a rescue group to pull him...so please respond to this post or call #212-533-0822 immediately!!!

Colby

Name: Colby
Sex: Male
Age: 11 months
Breed: Tan/White Pittie Mix
Weight: 45 lbs.
Temperment: Dogs - Yes! Kids - 10+, Cats - No
Neutered: Yes!
Available for Fostering: Yes!
Available for Adoption: Yes!
This Handsome Little Tan/White Amstaff mix is in boarding at a Doggie Day Care Facilty and he can't stay there any longer...We have to find him a home/foster home asap! Do you have room in your home and heart to take him in?!
Sweet & Spunky COLBY is just a PUP right now...at 11 mos old, he's 45 lbs of energetic puppy.... but oh so very very sweet! He loves people and is a total smush at home and he is very obedient - He just needs a DAILY DOSE OF GOOD EXERCISE and discipline and needs A STRONG PACK LEADER...someone who is experienced with bully breeds and/or is willing to continue the discipline and training we are currently providing him.
Colby is currently undergoing basic obedience at a dog training facility and has proven himself to be an quick and very smart learner...he learned sit, stay and roll over in just 1 day!! he craves direction and will become a smushy loyal buddy if you just give him a consistent routine and stick with him!! We originally thought he'd be best if he were an only dog as he was vocal with other dogs in the streets of NYC, but now after sending him to doggy boot camp... he is just wonderful with all the dogs there and if he plays a little rough and the other dog doesn't like it... he stops and rolls on the ground...so we would like him to be with another young medium/large soft breed dog preferably a female that he can play with!
He may be a bit too playful for small dogs and no cats. We also think he would be best with older children i.e over 10 yrs old.
If you are interested in having a LOYAL BEST FRIEND FOREVER... and can ADOPT/FOSTER him please e-mail back to this or call #917-543-6193 with your full contact info ASAP!! thank you!!
*Pls note that this dog is located in the metropolitan NYC Area and transport can be arranged provided certain criteria is met - Also there will be a reasonable adoption/donation fee requested to cover all shots, neuter surgery and microchip*
If you can't adopt/foster - you can still help out Colby & other dogs in need by making a donation to In Our Hands Rescue - you can do so by going to this link http://inourhandsrescue.chipin.com/help-iohr-save-a-last-chance-shelter-dog
Jackie

Sex: Female
Age: 4 years
Breed: Boxer/Staffie Mix
Weight: 40 lbs. (and growing!)
Temperment: Dogs - Yes! Kids - Yes! Cats - Unknown
Spayed: Yes!
Available for Fostering: Yes!
Available for Adoption: Yes!
PLEASE CONSIDER ADOPTING OR FOSTERING THIS SWEET GIRL---CALL 917 689 8414 BEFORE 9 AM MON.
Check out this FACE!!
Jackie is so friendly with people and dogs that it's hard to imagine why anyone would abandon such a lovable dog. She is a 4-year-old American Pit Bull Terrier mix that received our behaviorists' highest rating for sociability and lack of aggression. Jackie is also playful when she has a chance to get in the open air with a friendly stranger. In the distant past, she had puppies but will no more. She'll devote her whole heart to her new family. Though she doesn't pull on a leash hard, she still needs obedience training so that you can enjoy your time together. Unlike
younger dogs, she is calm and patient when waiting, such as when she was getting her picture taken. She did arrive emaciated, weighing only 33 lb., but she's eating well and should gain normal size of about 40 lb. soon.
Please call tonight and then see tomorrow how friendly Jackie is. She'll steal your heart, and you'll save her life.
PLEASE CALL 917 689 8414 BEFORE 9 AM MON and Thank You for caring about Jackie.
Maxy - URGENT!

Name: Maxy
Sex: Female
Age: Young Adult
Breed: White/Tan Mix
Weight: 55 lbs.
Temperment: Dogs - Yes! Kids - 10+, Cats - No
Spayed: Yes!
Available for Fostering: Yes!
Available for Adoption: Yes!
All we know of Maxy is her sad, scared face and a sterile, clinical looking set of statistics which comprise her behavioral test. She deserved more, that's for sure, and we'd like to give her another chance at life-- a real life, with someone to love and care for her as a cherished family member.
Maxy, a 55 lb Am Staff Mix is neither large nor small and did very well when tested for behavioral quirks. She shows no signs of aggression, but does seem to want to chase cats and small animals, so we recommend a home with no cats, rabbits, etc. When it comes to people, she is a doll. She appears to respect her boundaries and the rules set for her-and she appears to trust people. Little does she know what lies in store for her tomorrow morning-- it is enough to jerk one to tears.
Maxy will come spayed, up to date on all vaccinations, heartworm tested, dewormed and microchipped.
Give Maxy a reason to trust-- help save her life by adopting or fostering today. Email emily@emilygear.com ASAP. Tomorrow could be too late!

Sasha Lee
This pretty 18 months gal wants another chance at finding a home -- this time with someone who will not abandon her. She's got everything we love in a dog and then some. People friendly, experienced, smart, happy and spirited. Sasha Lee is an adolescent who will bring happiness to your life. But first we have to save her life.
On 11/1/08, a man brought two year old Sasha-Lee to the local pound. He explained that he had found her tied to a park gate. She's what we call a "throwaway" mom: used to breed puppies, and once her "job" is done, abandoned to the streets. Sasha-Lee really, really, really loves people. She wants to be near you, to lean on you, to kiss you. Because she had babies recently, she's a bit bossy with other dogs, but NOT aggressive. Sasha-Lee weighs 36 pounds and once she gets back her pre-puppies figure, she'll be a knockout. Sasha Lee has a golden tan coat and beautiful amber eyes.
Please contact us NOW at 646 678 6501 if you can help us save Sasha Lee's life by fostering her even if just for one week, or even better, if you're interested in adopting this little princess.

Sheryo
We're desperately trying to save this doggie jewel from euthanasia. But we have 24 hrs to do it. She's a young adult dog with warm brown eyes and a soft, uncomplicated demeanor. This one melts in your hands. We think she's a promising prospect for therapy work for all the qualities that make her so irresistable. This two-year-old cutie arrived at the shelter as a stray on 10/31/08.
She clearly had been someone's pet: she's well nourished (approx 40 pounds), walks politely on a leash, and certainly appears to be housetrained. No aggression ever noted with her regarding food, toys, bones... and towards other dogs or anything else. A very pretty and friendly girl who knows "sit," and enjoys resting at your feet. Happy to be by your side, Sheryo is a little bit overwhelmed by life in the shelter, so she's gets lots of attention from staff and volunteers. It's been fun to see her come out of her shell and smile. Her future home will treasure this cute darling. But we first have to save her life and there's little time left.
Please contact us ASAP at 646 678 6501 if you can foster this little angel even for a week so we can save her life. Or even better, also contact us if you are interested in adopting her. But please do it now.

Blondie Sue is prize! Sweet, affectionate, loyal, intelligent, learns everything very fast, and she's certainly not a sissy dog. She's approx 18 months and 50 lbs and has a beautiful light caramel color and amber eyes. She also has a soft, long muzzle. She loves her bone toy like it was the only one left on earth. She's loyal and affectionate; she wants to be within 2 feet of you, most of the time. Blondie Sue's quiet, well behaved and a lap dog. She appears housetrained and she's obviously crate trained. She's got very short light hair, almost blond, though she does shed slightly. She's UTP w/vaccines, heartworm negative and microchipped.
Blondie Sue's a great kisser and great ball player. This beauty deserves a family that will match her love and affection.

Breed: Hound/Rednose Mix
Weight: 60 lbs.
Temperment: Dogs - Yes! Kids over 10, Cats - Unknown
Spayed: Yes!
Available for Fostering: Yes!
Available for Adoption: Yes!
This sweet gorgeous playful goofy boy was spared being put down yesterday and was given another day to get out alive from the city shelter... won't you SAVE HIM by COMMITTING to Adopting/Fostering or Sponsoring him??!!
It's true! Riobard has a silly name, but then he's a silly dog. If you tell this 1 1/2-year-old American Pit Bull Terrier to sit, he sort of sits and then collapses on to his back and demands a belly rub. He'll repay you with wet kisses. It's hard to be serious with him.
He's friendly with both people and other dogs. He will need some training as he pulls on the leash and needs to learn other obedience commands, but you could teach him with a little patience and a lot of treats. Already, he appears to be house trained; he waited to do his business outside. He weighs 60 lb. and is in excellent condition as his photos show. Unfortunately we don't know how he is with cats but we think he would be great with older children 10 yrs+ So, don't wait. Please call immediately to save Riobard. You'll enjoy this silly friend for years to come.

*SAVE US* This gorgeous husband & wife pair of rednose pits was pulled from this AM's Euth List...Do you have the heart & home to save them by committing to ADOPTING, FOSTERING or SPONSORING THEM?
Nancy and her beloved companion Drew, were found together as strays on Halloween. They are very bonded. When they are apart and can see one another, they both cry and make desperate efforts to get to one another. It's heartbreaking that someone could have abandoned this lovely pair to the streets.
Both are sweet and gorgeous dogs, but being more outgoing and quite handsome, Drew has attracted a lot of attention. Poor sweet Nancy is overlooked as she is a bit of a wallflower. She might not be outstanding looking, but she is one super sweet, low key, gentle and non-aggressive dog. You call her and she comes right away ... into your arms. She is plain good. No wonder that Drew likes her so much. She recently had puppies, but will get back her girlish figure in no time. The vet staff estimate she's around 4 years old. Unfortunately, we don't know how they are with cats or small children.
If you can save these two (as we must keep them together) by committing to ADOPTING/FOSTERING or SPONSORING.. pls reply back to this e-mail or call #212-533-0822 IMMEDIATELY (24/7) and leave your callback info... SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY..
Please hurry as TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE!!

Age: 2 years
Breed:Lab/Pittie Mix
Weight: 55 lbs.
Temperment: Dogs/Kids/Cats - Yes!
Spayed: Yes!
Available for Fostering: Yes!
Available for Adoption: Yes!
Poor SASHA - she has been in several foster homes and everyone ADORES HER but we are still looking for the right "furever" home and we MUST FIND SASHA A HOME ASAP!!!
Sasha is a beautiful 2 yr old, 55lb spayed female black lab/pit mix who is a truly "extra-special" dog. She is a sweet calm loving "no concern" gorgeous "black pearl" of a dog. She is good with other dogs, humans of all ages and does not have any behavior issues. Calm in the house, no destructiveness, no separation anxiety, no incessant barking. She's easy on the leash once she knows her surroundings, knows basic commands and is just full of love and cuddles. Her current foster loves to take her jogging and on long hikes but at home. She loves to curl up on the couch and bed with you but will curl up on the floor on your feet if you tell her to.
We've tested her with cats and she is "overly-curious" about them but we think she can be trained to leave them alone if you are able & willing... That is her only drawback otherwise...SHE IS A PERFECT DOG and LOYAL COMPANION... Come and meet her today!
If you would like to ADOPT this sweet gorgeous gal pls respond to this post asap and leave a message with your full contact info..or call #917-543-6193 and leave your callback #s. Only Serious Inquiries please. There will be a reasonable adoption donation fee requested.
Roxie

Name: Roxie
Sex: Female
Age: 1.5 years
Breed: Shepard Mix
Temperment: Dog/Cats/Kids - Yes!
Spayed: Yes!
Available for Fostering: Yes!
Available for Adoption: Yes!
THIS SWEET FRIENDLY, LOVING, PERFECT GAL is GETTING BOOTED by the LANDLORD of her current Foster home so she URGENTLY NEEDS A FUREVER HOME!!
Roxie is a sweet 1.5 yr old female brindle shephard mix...she originally was brought to the shelter as a stray. Poor Roxie, she was sooo emaciated, the shelter staff thought she was a little reindeer when she was brought in (see top two photos)... a rescue group pulled her and placed her in a foster home that fattened her up and she blossomed into a happy go lucky lovable sweet princess of a dog. (see bottom two photos).
She's great with all people, big and small (kids over 7 yrs+) and all dogs big and small but she'd prefer to be your one and only... she is an extremely smart, loyal and lovable dog and will walk beside you off leash til the ends of the earth! Her only vice is that she does guard her food a bit because she was starved and most dogs that have been emaciated exhibit some food agression but her foster mom worked with her on this and she is getting much better.
Last but not least, she doesn't seem to mind cats, but will chase if the cat hisses or gets in her face... but she is such an obedient girl that she can be trained to leave the cat alone. Roxie just wants to please and she won't let you down!
The Rescue Group has no open fosters and is DESPARATE to find her a new home/foster home IMMEDIATELY.. she is a WONDERFUL GEM of a dog and will be your BEST FRIEND FOREVER!!! and a WONDERFUL companion to another dog....IF YOU CAN ADOPT/FOSTER ROXIE... PLS E-MAIL BACK OR CALL #212-533-0822 and leave your COnTACT INFO... TIME is of the ESSENCE!!
