A 65 lb LAPDOG... That's Georgie--- well, when he's not being a playful puppy, that is. He was given up by his owner because they have no time for him. They did say that he is good with obedience and loves men, women, and children, and displayed not an ounce of any type of aggression.

A VOLUNTEER WROTE:

"A handsome brute" was one comment a volunteer almost wrote, but Georgie is anything but a brute. This 8-month-old American Pit Bull Terrier pup is rather large, weighing 65 pounds and still growing, but he's very friendly with people and other dogs. In fact, Georgie earned our behaviorists' highest rating for his being sociable and not aggressive. They noted that he is very playful. A volunteer who walked and photographed Georgie confirmed his high rating. However, he is strong and did pull the fellow around a parking lot. So, you'd have to teach him to heel and obey your other commands. He is young and eager to please so your teaching him would be fun and fulfilling for you both.
